The 7th week

It has been a hectic week!! Although today is just the fourth day of the week.=P On Monday, I reached home at 9.30pm, and had my dinner at almost 10pm. =_=" Supposed to have dinner with my classmates to celebrate Michelle, Su Lan, Huey Yi and Siao Han's birthday, unfortunately, Rotaract meeting lasted until 8.30pm and I only sempat to eat the cake at the gathering.=(

We almost conquered the whole restaurant.=P

Huey Yi and I. (I looked sleepy.=P)

Tuesday was dreadful. Had six hours of lab doing recrystallisation, thin-layer chromatography and measuring boiling and melting points. It was said to be dreadful as we were not given clear instruction on what we supposed to do from the begining. It was very messy. One of the cases was that many of my coursemates threw away their samples which we needed to hand in in a glass vial. I was fortunate enough as I did my experiment pretty slow that day and my sample was still with me when I found out about it.=P And also, the lecturer actually forgot to guide us on an important step of the experiment until the lab assistant reminded him at almost at the end of the lab hours. Poor lecturer. He is going to receive complaintsssSsS from my coursemates.

Distillation set-up. Somehow I like the set-up alot. It looks really cool with all the glasswares.=P

I found out something. The top layer of the chromatography board is cancerous. We are advised not to smell it. I did not know this when I did my experiment in A levels. Mr Ratna had put me in danger.=P

My thin layer chromatography.

Coming to Wednesday which is today.=) Had test early in the morning before practical. Then, produced my suppositories to be dispensed to a 40 years old patient. The process of making the suppositories was challenging but overall it was fun.=P Our product today will be assessed and the marks will be recorded. Everyone was so tensional. Lol. Shi Hao suggested to eat Curry Mee in Semenyih town but we ended up eating mixed rice there. And I found an approximately 5cm long worm in my rice. *Disgusting* It is a tape like worm and the first thing that came into my mind at that moment was "It looks like Taenia". For those who take Biology in A levels, you will know what Taenia is. For those who did not, Taenia is a parasite of livestock. Scary~~ After lunch, had oral presentation in the lab. The presentation was fairly good but I was slightly nervous.=P Then as usual, went to the library for my next week's MR and went back home at 6pm.

Joe's presentation with 3 of our lecturers on the slide. He said he googled and got their pictures online. Dr Wiart looks super cute there.=P

The sky was so dark when I came out from the lab in the evening.

Felt so relieved after my test, product assessment and presentation today. Must enjoy my sleep tonight.=P Goodnight everyone! =)
