Manufacturing Record(MR)

MR, a report which we have to prepare before practical class every Wednesday.

The aim of the MR is to teach us:

• The formulation of these medicines and the function(s) of the ingredients within.
  
• The assessment of quality and patient acceptability by sensory means.
• The prediction of likely product stability by assessment of the chemical, physical and microbial stability of the ingredients and in combination within the product.
• The importance of dose and strength check by pharmacist.
• The provision of simple advice to patients concerning the products made and their usage.
• Standards of labbelling and product presentation.
